Other remarkable rock formations in the state include the eerie Pinnacles spires that rise out of the desert of Nambung National Park, and Wave Rock in Hyden, which resembles a surf break frozen in granite. Aside from its natural wonders, inland Western Australia’s other charms include its friendly goldmining towns – like Kalgoorlie, where the economy has been driven by gold since 1893.
