Private jet charter to St Moritz

St Moritz is an almost year round ski destination, with the season opening in October and not closing until May. It’s got a reputation as being home to some of the best slopes in the Alps, with the four main areas being Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza, and Zuoz. Here you’ll find a great range of slopes for all skill levels, and a great array of restaurants. For your chance to enjoy a ski break, get a fast quote from Air Charter Service to charter a private jet to St Moritz.

There are also plenty of events throughout the year as well as mountain biking, hiking and ice skating available. We recommend trying to coincide your visit with one of the operas, or, if cars are more your thing, the British Classic Car Meeting. There’s also a Gourmet Food Festival, the Winterraid vintage car rally and even Cricket on Ice as well as horse racing, polo and more.

The Big Five probably isn’t a term you’d expect to hear in St Moritz, but in this case it’s not about the wildlife, but the five big five star hotels in the area. Each has its own loyal followers, and is long established, but each also brings a different ambiance and style, with all the luxury aspects you’d expect. The Big Five is made up of the Kulm Hotel, Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, the Carlton Hotel, the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains and the Suvretta Hotel. The Kulm was built in 1851, making it the first grand hotel in St. Moritz whilst Badrutt’s Palace Hotel is a celebrity favourite offering the best of everything, including outstanding views, a myriad of restaurants and bars. The Carlton Hotel offers luxury suites overlooking the lake and the Alps whilst the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains and the Suvretta House are equally luxurious.

When it comes to dining, there’s plenty both in town as well as out on the slopes. Within St Moritz we recommend the Chesa Veglia owned by but not located in Badrutt’s Palace. Located in an old farmhouse, this restaurant and bar offers everything from Italian classics, to Swiss favourites and international specialties. La Marmite is on the slopes in Corviglia and offers one of the best, if pricey, menus on the piste. There’s caviar, truffles, tarte flambé, beef carpaccio and more. If you’re looking for a little après ski, head to The Devil’s Place, at the Hotel Waldhaus am See. It is home to the largest selection of whiskies in the world, and with over 2,500 to choose from, you may need to frequent it a few times. For the morning after, head to Café Hanselmann and enjoy the ambiance of this olde-worlde patisserie as you enjoy your morning coffee with a selection of pastries and cakes.

For shoppers, St Moritz won’t disappoint. There are all the high-end boutiques you’d expect of a celebrity haunt, as well as plenty of speciality shops for all your snowsport needs. Via Serlas is at the centre of the shopping district, and it’s here you’ll find the majority of the designer boutiques, whilst via Maistra is a little more laid and home to all those sports stores. For something a little special head to the Lamm cashmere house, a family-run boutique specialising in cashmere. There are also plenty of other local products such as textiles and ceramics available, so be sure to have a browse.
