El Paso

Private jet charter to El Paso

El Paso is a place of rich diversity, with the largest bilingual-binational workforce in the Western Hemisphere calling this city their home. Located at the point where the western tip of Texas meets Mexico, El Paso is a blend of cultures that has to be seen to be believed. Get the best vantage point of the city by taking the Wyler Aerial Tramway at Franklin Mountains State Park. A four minute ride in a cable car here allows 7,000 breath-taking square miles to unfold before your eyes, with views over a vast canyon that is up to 240ft deep in places. Poignant in its strikingly desolate beauty, this may well be the most memorable tramway ride you’ll ever experience. If you’re looking to keep your feet planted however, El Paso zoo provides ample opportunity to explore and interact with some furry members of the community. Little ones in particular will love the prospect of making a night of it by signing up to a monthly sleepover, allowing them a peek into the secret world of a zoo at night. Set on 35 acres of land, the zoo offers the use of a sightseeing train and a treehouse as well as laying on special activities such as the Super Deluxe Elephant Experience that gives you the rare opportunity to give one of their Asian elephants a bath.

El Paso has its fair share of places to stay, one of the most notable of which is the Camino Real Hotel, located near the Museum of Art. Hailed as the finest and most historic hotel in the city, the building is home to the widely celebrated Dome Bar, which features a stunning glass ceiling dome constructed from 17 individual pieces. Classic décor in every room has been complemented with stunning city views of the Texas and New Mexico landscape, and even the Franklin Mountains in some rooms. Modern amenities include Wi-Fi, a fitness centre and an outdoor pool. Located on Sunland Park Drive, the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson offers modern décor in a range of suites, from their standard rooms containing all the standard amenities to bi-level suites that feature a whirlpool tub in the living area from which you may be able to see some of the stunning views outside.

The diversity of its native population is most easily experienced in El Paso’s culinary offerings. From street food to high-end restaurants, the city takes pride in the vibrancy of its flavours, delivering a taste of its heritage straight to your plate through dishes such as lobster macaroni and cheese and marinated rib-eye steak. Café Central is one such place, and is known locally for its elegant take on the El Paso dining experience. Chic black and cream interiors are self-consciously minimalist, providing the perfect space in which to exhibit their collections of original art. And when it comes to the food itself, the chefs here take pride in epitomising the best of the city’s regional cuisine. Their lunch menu includes the mouth-watering Cubanito sandwich: roasted pork carnitas, Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and spicy whole grain mustard, while their Land and Air dinner menu offers a creative selection of traditional dishes with a modern twist, such as stuffed quail with a cheese fondue and a huckleberry sauce.
