This small airport is considered to be the gateway to the Kimberley area and is located within walking distance of the town. It is a small airport with the majority of its traffic coming from travel within Australia. Broome Airport is not a 24 hour airport and is closed after the last scheduled flight of the day leaves and opens at least one hour before the first one in the morning.
